Work object



The objects of work of this professional are civil works (industrial, agricultural and social buildings, structures of little complexity, roads or urban roads and railways) and the production of materials and technologies for construction.



In addition, this professional has the necessary economic and management training to efficiently carry out the development of his work.

The main areas of action of the civil engineer are the following:




  • Construction entities.

  • Design entities and engineering services.

  • Entities dedicated to project management.

  • Entities dedicated to the production of construction materials and technologies.

  • Entities responsible for the care and protection of the environment.

  • Physical planning institutions.

  • Entities dedicated to the conservation of built heritage.

  • Universities, teaching units (UD), basic labor entities (ELB) and branch training schools.

The graduate of the Civil Engineering career has its main field of work in those areas of production and services that basically attend the planning, management, design, construction, exploitation and conservation of civil works:
