The Cuban mechanical engineer is a professional with knowledge, skills and values, which allow him to put at the service of humanity, the development of science and technology, with economic rationality, adequate use of human resources and materials, minimizing the consumption of natural resources, the deterioration of the environment and preserving the ethical principles of their society.

 

He is able to Design, Manufacture, Operate and Maintain; machinery, equipment, installations, mechanical systems and energy transformation in an economical, efficient, creative and respectful way of the environment. Exercises leadership in activities of management and administration of human and material resources in a context of sustainable regional, national and global development.

Action field

The mechanical engineer must have a thorough knowledge of the basic sciences and engineering foundations and, in general, of professional practice; be able to model physical phenomena; be able to communicate orally and in writing, and interpret technical documentation; have respect and consideration for environmental factors; mastery of languages other than mother tongue, and knowledge of business, financial and human aspects.
